I have COPD how dangerous is it when my pulse oximeter reads 68 and how low can it get?

68% of your hemoglobin is oxygenated, and since your hemoglobin is probably at least 14, you should be getting what you need. If this is a big change or you are feeling worse, call your doctor to ask if you should take your breathing treatments more often or take more meds, such as steroids. Try to favor urgent care clinics over ERs, even the freestanding ones.
