This is a very good question. Now the diet depends on the severity of your IBD. Generally speaking, no processed foods (that means eat homemade, fresh foods). There are also some studies that have talked favorably about elemental diet. Look that up and also discuss this with your gastroenterologist. They can also refer you to a dietician who has knowledge of IBD.
-High-fiber cereal with non-diary (oat, rice, almond) milk
-Fruit
-8 oz of water
-Fiber supplement appropriate for age
30-40 minutes later, try to have a bowel movement using a Valsalva (can replicate by blowing a balloon sitting on the toilet).

The best thing anyone can do with IBD from a nutritional standpoint is to eat all healthy foods and try to avoid a lot of processed food, fried food, greasy food and high calorie/fat food. Stick with lots of healthy fruit, vegetables and grains as well as plenty of water throughout the day.
That is a great question! Diet can have a big impact on IBD symptoms. First avoid any triggers you might have for your IBD - common triggers are dairy, fast food, excess sugar and for some people food that contains a lot of fiber. Second keep it simple. Good breakfast contain protein, fat and carbohydrates. For example eggs and fruit, or avocado on whole grain bread. Best advice is to find a knowledgeable dietician or health coach as diet can have a major impact on how easy your IBD is to control.
