Can I drink water before I get anesthesia?

I have to get an ultrasound then I have to get put to sleep during an MRI on the same day.

Typically up to two hours prior to an anesthetic, you may consume clear liquids.
No Anesthesia is needed for MRI.

I don't know why you think you are being putting to sleep just for a MRI examination?
