Radiologist Questions Ct Scan

Can I file a law-suit for a CT scan that has caused damage to my body?

Hi, my name is Victor Haley. I recently had my second CT-MRI performed, with a contrast agent and I had an allergic reaction to the drug. Now months later, I am experiencing some serious side effects. The side effects that I am suffering from are the same that the MRI patients, who used a gadalinium base contrast. Can a patient who had a CT scan, with iodion, file a law suit? That patient is also a diabetic with high blood pressure and kidney problems.

Please check the paperwork you signed before you received the contrast. If they fully disclosed the risks of the contrast to you before the exam and you signed a release, then you will not be able to successfully sue them. They should have also checked your GFR before giving you contrast. If your GFR was below 30, they should not have given you contrast. If this was the case, you may be able to successfully sue them.
Yes, but you'll have an expert to back your claim or the judge will throw it out.
Hi,

I understand how frustrating it can be to have an allergic reaction to contrast that you received from a CT scan. Unless you told the technologist that you were allergic to the contrast and she proceeded to give you the contrast despite telling him or her, it is impossible to file and win a lawsuit in those cases or to prove that the symptoms you are having is directly implicated in the allergic reaction.

Kind regards,
