Can PRK cause any side effects?

I want to get PRK surgery. Can PRK cause any side effects?

Yes, your eye will feel very scratchy and you will not see clearly for the first week. You can use lots of artificial tears to help. After that first week things will improve and you will start to see clearly.
Any procedure can have side effects. For PRK most are temporary. Immediately after you will have some pain for about 3-4 days, and dryness. Also the cornea will be thinner than it was to begin with. The surgeon has to make sure he leaves enough cornea untouched, so no future complications arise.
