There are too many variables to answer simply and easily. If you really do mean a thin retina, that is a whole different story. A good eye doctor will be able to discuss options with you. You should see an eye doctor, Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.

But it has to be printed correctly. Then if you read a 20 foot letter, not 20 feet high its called a 20 foot letter, at 20 feet you see 20/20, if you read a 10 foot letter at 10 feet, it is 10/10 which is 20/20. If you read a 20 foot letter at 10 feet then it is 10/20 or 20/40. Top number is the testing distance, and the bottom is the calibrated letter. Bottom line, just because you may see 20/20 with each eye . real does not tell you if the eyes are healthy, work together properly or any of the other concerns. So consider going for an exam. Thats what is best for you.
