Speech therapy is a great benefit to those that stutter. The reason for stuttering is different for everyone and is often coupled with treatment from a licensed mental health therapist as anxiety has been found to often time tie closely to stuttering. It is possible to sometimes grow out of it but is more than likely something to address early.
It depends on a lot of factors such age, genetics, and overall speech-language abilities.
Some children may not require therapy for stuttering. I recommend seeing a speech-language pathologist who specializes in stuttering to determine if she would benefit from therapy.
With proper therapy it will improve
