Can acid in the stomach cause pain?

I am a 30 year old male. I want to know if acid in the stomach can cause pain?

Yes it can, however there are other causes of abdominal pain that should be investigated.
It usually doesn't because the stomach has mechanisms to protect itself from acid. It's normal to have acid in the stomach and to make more acid when you eat. Only when the stomach's protective mechanisms break down might you get ulcers and pain secondary to acid.
