“Medical questions for a book?”
I don't have any symptoms, or physical injuries, only a couple of questions for a book I'm writing. What would happen if someone kicked you in the side of your face using the inside of your foot? Can a hard enough kick to the ribs or chest break a rib or two? and if so, how hard would you need to kick? Can someone run with ribs broken? and if so, would they have to hold their chest or anything of the like to try and stop their ribs from moving? If someone with broken ribs does attempt to run if they are unable, would it puncture their lungs?

Kicks can fracture ribs. Need X-ray to tell. Running is not a good idea with rib pain. Displaced rib fracture could harm the lungs.
Yes, it is possible to break ribs from any trauma. For ribs to break it depends on mainly person health and strength of their rib bones or flexibility of rib bones. Yes, broken ribs can puncture lungs.
