A broken heart can lead to a lot of stress, lack of motivation, sleep challenges, and even sometimes muscle pain and fatigue. All of those conditions are treatable through acupuncture! I highly recommend you give acupuncture a try to see how you feel so that you can transition from this broken heart to a place of more joy and inspiration.
Warm regards,
Hope this is helpful.
practitioner of TCM, traditional Chinese medicine. I find they have a better understanding of the emotions and how they affect the overall wellbeing of an individual. They will have a more compassionate approach.
Be well,

The Chinese medical model recognizes a relationship between organ function and emotional state. We often do very well treating conditions like depression using this approach.
I've never personally worked with post-breakup issues and none of my local colleagues have worked with them either. Here's what I'd suggest: shop around a bit and find a psychologist/therapist you feel like you can work with. If you're not in CA, go to the "Find a Practitioner" lookup at NCCAOM.org and get some local acupuncturists. If you can find one, you're looking for someone who practices 5-element acupuncture - they focus on emotional aspects of health and illness.
The combination of therapy and acupuncture will probably get you where you want to be faster than either therapy or acupuncture alone.
There is a style of acupuncture that focuses more directly on emotional treatments call "5-Element" acupuncture. You would need to find a "Worsley Style" 5-Element practitioner to be specific - one who treats using Worsley's methods. Some people call themselves 5-Element or use a different form of 5-Element that isn't really emotionally rooted or "element" rooted. Other acupuncturists could also help, as with our medicine as we treat the emotions, we treat the physical and as we treat the physical we are treating the emotions. However, a Worlsey 5-Element practitioner might be more suited to gentle conversations that help guide the healing.
Find someone in your area to help and ask if they are experienced in emotional work. Here is a website for Worsley Practitioners. It is not a full list, but a good starting point:
