I can not say for sure. It likely would help manage pain, but even that is something I have no experience with.

It depends on stone size. Acupuncture definitely can support the process.
Yes, herbs and Acupuncture can help reduce the size of kidney stones gradually, and also relieve your pain! It will take some time.
That is a trickier one. I will say yes - Acupuncture is incredibly effective to help reduce pain, increase mobility, increase circulation, and can support kidney help. By helping you manage the discomfort, acupuncture can make passing a kidney stone easier. There are Chinese herbs in particular that can definitely help you dissolve and pass the stone, but acupuncture alone ... I would say that it would be a case by case basis for the acupuncture to actually help you pass it. It can definitely make the passing more comfortable, however.
Dear Patient,
I am sorry to say that there has been no data or studies to support acupuncture to address kidney stones. This diagnosis is not benign and needs to be addressed carefully and seriously. That said, there are a number of things that you can do naturally to prevent them and also to pass them.

There are cases where acupuncture can help patients pass kidney stones and help with pain management. But passing stones can be complicated so it is important to have medical oversight and proper diagnosis.
I think that depends on the acupuncturist's training. But there are herbs that can help make stones smaller and prevent them forming.
Any stone larger than about 5mm is too big to pass through the ureters to the bladder. Acupuncture isn't going to reduce the size of a stone if you have one that's too large. Surgery or lithotripsy is your best bet in this case. Passing a stone smaller than 5mm is intensely painful. Acupuncture can help with the pain as well as any nausea that might result. Fluid intake is the best thing to keep the stone moving. Chinese herbal medicine and dietary modification can help prevent stones forming in the first place - this is where you really want to be, especially if you've had one stone already.
