Can allergy medications make you sleepy?

I took a pill for my seasonal allergy. It made me sleepy. Can allergy medications make you sleepy?

1 Answer

Yes, several allergy medications can cause drowsiness. It's a good idea to start a new medication when you know you don't need to work for a couple of days to see how it affects your body. Also, consider taking the medication in the latter part of the day, such as just after dinner, so if it causes drowsiness, you'll sleep right through that side effect.
