Yes. Aneurysms can be fixed.
Not all aneurysms need to be fixed. It depends on the size and location. In the abdominal aorta which is what I assume you have... we usually wait for the aneurysm to reach at least 5 cm before fixing.
There are 2 ways to fix them. Either we repair with minimally invasive or endovascular surgery by placing a stent inside the artery, or we repair directly with open surgery (traditional surgery).

Yes, abdominal aneurysms can be fixed! However, they dont all need to be. We recommend waiting until the aneurysm is large enough (usually 5.5 cm) to be worth the risks of the repairmany smaller aneurysms do not grow and are not at risk of rupture, and it is not worth the risks of surgery to fix smaller aneurysms.
