“Can braces cause gum disease?”
I want to straighten my teeth with braces. Can braces cause gum disease?

If you rinsing, glossing,brushing right after eating & drinking anything,then your gums should be ok during ortho treatment.
if not ,then it can cause gingivitis
if not ,then it can cause gingivitis
Braces do not cause gum disease. PT will need to pay extra attention to oral hygiene, extra time will be needed to keep the gum clear in order to avoid gum disease.
Braces themselves do not cause gum disease, but poor oral hygiene can lead to bone loss and gum disease.
