“Can braces get rusted?”
I have braces on my teeth to straighten them out, but in the mirror, my braces look a little rusted. Is this possible?

Brackets are made of a special material so they can't rust. Wires and brackets can collect food. That's why you are told to keep your braces clean and brush your teeth. You can floss your teeth with the help of floss threaders.
Orthodontic appliances are made from stainless steel and do not rust although the food left on them can cause tarnishing if not cleaned off daily
Rusting if metal braces is not common. You may be developing plaque and tartar accumulation on the brackets. Or you may have been treated with a defective set of brackets. Either way, you should visit your dentist for him/her to check out what you are seeing.
It's not likely to be rust, possibly some surface stain or food. Go back to your orthodontist to have it checked.
