Yes, but have to be aware of the ingredients...unfortunately, most are made with gluten.
Make sure that the chocolate is certified gluten-free from a good source. These are easy to find these days especially with artisan and organic chocolate is coming out. Dark chocolates contain polyphenols that may be very beneficial to the gut.
There are gluten-free chocolate brands you can eat ...
Chocolate itself, if it is pure and unsweetened, is gluten-free so you should be able to eat that type of food. However, you have to be careful with eating different types of candy bars since they may have other additives like cookies or pretzels which can contain gluten.
Celiac patients need to avoid gluten, and many brands of chocolate that are gluten-free. Please check online for a list of gluten-free products.

Celiac patients have no restriction on chocolate. HOWEVER, the chocolate has to be made in a factory that is gluten free to prevent cross contamination. A small amount is most likely fine, but if it is a regular event, then you will need to find a gluten-free product. The celiac foundation can help identify those if necessary.
