My baby is 2 years old and cries often. Can crying too long hurt a child?

Can a child cry too long? The answer is no. There are no recorded cases, nor have I ever heard of a child that became ill, needed to be in the hospital or other problems from crying too longThe really question is why? Why would a child cry for so long? In the absence of illness, most kids are having trouble with emotions and feelings, and the parent should explore ways to get to the reason for the crying
