Can milia scars be removed?

I had 2 milia under my eye, and so I kept trying to squeeze them. I also used a needle, and now it’s super scarred, I’m so scared, I did this multiple times, and it's so much worse and it doesn’t even look like it’s milia anymore.

Milia scars can be treated, but squeezing or poking at them can make them worse. A dermatologist can help reduce the appearance of scars with treatments like chemical peels, microneedling, or laser therapy.

Milia removal should never scar as the tiny cysts are extremely superficial. In short, milia can be removed easily. Scarring, while possible when removal is performed improperly, is very unlikely if one uses a pin or needle. More commonly, stains or hyperpigmentation occurs. This will fade with time(several months). If it is from a bruise, then warm compresses may help. If no bruising occurred, it may be due to increased pigment. Lightening creams that contain hydroquinone may help with this.
