Can pathologists identify remains over 10 years old?

I am a 26 year old female. I want to know can pathologists identify remains over 10 years old?

It is done by dental records; Bone DNA is use for positive identification. Physical attributes and mitochondrial DNA in the bones and teeth can be used to confirm relationship of old deceased or living descendants. Thank you.
