“Can pediatric nearsightedness be fixed?”
My daughter has myopia. Can pediatric nearsightedness be fixed?
1 Answer
Based on todays research, once you develop nearsightedness, it can only be managed and work towards preventing further progression. First line approach is to exercise every possible route for prevention(limit digital devices, outdoor activities, supplements) once developed, then use management approaches to slow down progression: these include low dose atropine drops at bed time, Misight FDA approved contact lenses for myopia management and hard lenses used during the nigh time that reshape the eye for clear vision during the day referred to as Orthokeratology.
