Cataract surgery is a delicate eye operation and should be performed with extreme care by a qualified specialist who is also willing to share their outcomes with you.
Cataract surgery is safe, quick, painless, and highly successful. It generally takes about 8-10 minutes per eye, and most patients have each eye done 1-2 weeks apart. The recovery is easy and quick, with 99.9% of patients achieving excellent results, which are permanent. Please see your ophthalmic surgeon for a thorough evaluation and discussion of your surgical options.
Cataract surgery is a major intrusion into the eye which usually goes well and improves vision but may have negative consequences including loss of vision, discomfort and further surgery. It is jokingly said that surgery is minor when it is on someone else but major when it is on you.
The procedure is relatively minor. The sedation is about the level of having a tooth pulled. Cataract surgery usually takes no more than 20 minutes and most people have little to no discomfort

Hope this helps!
