It would depend on the severity of reactivity to an allergen. Some allergens can be addressed by elimination from your diet. Others need intervention with an epi pen like bee sting reactions. Some allergens may be treated with natural herbal remedies.
Acupuncture is a great way to help reduce seasonal allergy symptoms. Especially, if you seek treatment ahead of time! Prophylactic acupuncture can help to prevent typical allergy symptoms such as runny nose, clogged sinuses, and itchy eyes. For example, if you get allergies in the Spring, start getting weekly acupuncture treatments a month or two in advance. This will help to "tonify" your body and prepare it to fight off those pesky allergies!! We can also talk about some natural ways to help boost your immune system through diet.
I do have numerous patients that no longer take allergy medications since beginning treatments. That being said, like all medicine, nothing works 100% of the time for 100% of the people. But I do highly recommend trying it to see if it can work for you. Thank you for your email! - Dr. Hallie OGorman
Yes, acupuncture and herbs will be helpful for seasonal allergies.
You may find a doctor near from you and consult for that.
I hope you get better.

I have patients with seasonal allergies & as truck drivers go thru fields with pollens & allergens. All cases have been helped with acupuncture alone. Its best to get treated before the season starts, but can also be addressed as the symptoms progress. Check with your primary to see if alternative medicine is appropriate for your condition(s). - Live Happy, Michael

I have not personally treated this but I have heard positive things within discussion groups with colleagues.
Yes, seasonal allergies can be fixed with natural treatments such as acupuncture or acupressure or massage.
For some patients, acupuncture treatments can be enough to relieve uncomfortable allergy symptoms like sneezing and nasal congestion. For patients who have mild allergy symptoms or whose allergies are primarily seasonal, acupuncture has been shown to reduce their symptoms.
Yes, I treat seasonal allergies with acupuncture and herbal formulas. Some acupuncturists use a system called NAET that they claim "cures" the allergies. I don't have first-hand experience with that system, but I'd call around and see what the acupuncturists near you have to say.
