Technically yes, although it is important to clarify where in the stomach the ulcer is located. It is different if it is a duodenal ulcer versus in the stomach itself. In general ulcers can be managed very effectively with medicines such as proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers as well as life style changes- discontinuation of alcohol, caffeine, and NSAIDS as examples. More importantly if you have ulcers in the stomach itself it should be biopsied to ensure it is not cancer.
