“Can too much anesthesia cause a stroke?”
I am a 38 year old female. I want to know if too much anesthesia can cause a stroke?

This is a tricky question and difficult to give a concrete answer. Anesthetics can cause low blood pressure (hypotension). Low blood pressure can contribute to a stroke. So, the answer is yes, sort of. Typically, we are closely monitoring your blood pressure and respond to low values by treating with medications to bring up the pressure. If someone wasn't responsive or attentive, and low blood pressure persisted for many minutes, this could surely cause a stroke.
