Yes they could harm your eyes by causing dryness, redness, infections and scaring of the cornea. Reduce wear and take them off from time to time.
There is always a chance of getting a contact lens infection especially if you don't use proper disinfecting solutions. If you do not sleep in the contacts and use proper care with them it is unlikely to cause problems. If yu have dry eyes your chances of problems increase.
If you wear them too long or don’t take care of them appropriately, contacts can definitely damage the eyes.
