Neurologist Questions Neurologist

Can you open doors while having a wandering seizure?

Last night I wandered (which had never happened before) down the road and woke up on a bridge, unconscious. I thought I had a seizure, because of the way I felt. I do have a history of seizures. I didn't think it was possible to open doors while having a seizure. The front door was also left open.

Sounds like sleep walking to see a neurologist.
it is possible
To answer your question specifically. Yes, you could open doors while having a "wondering seizure", you can also do many other things. Seems like you had the seizure at the precise right (or wrong time) when the front door was left open. Glad to hear you were alright after waking up unconscious on a bridge. This is very concerning however. I suggest you see your Neurologist and get an EEG and Sleep study to determine what is going on exactly. I would also revisit "A Lot" of the medications you are taking to make sure some may not be the culprit. Last but not least to make sure you stay home deadbolt the entrance and exit doors with double key when you go to sleep, that way, there's less of a chance of you wondering away while having one of those wondering seizures. No telling where you could wind up next time.
