“Can you walk after toe surgery?”
I am a 39 year old male. I want to know if you can walk after toe surgery?

After toe surgery, your ability to walk will depend on the specific procedure performed and your individual healing process. Consult with your surgeon to discuss your surgery, expected recovery time, and any limitations or precautions you need to take during the healing process. They will provide you with the most accurate information based on your specific situation.

There are many degrees of toe deformity, and thus different surgical techniques to address these issues. Taking into consideration many factors such as balance, core strength, pain and swelling after surgery, number of stairs at home can all play an additional role to the actual surgery in making the decision for when a patient can walk. In most cases, it is not advised to walk immediately after surgery and the incision will need to be protected. A good surgeon will walk you through all of these questions before your surgery.
Usually, but depends on the type. Some require the patient to be non weight bearing for a period of time.
