Yes, one step at a time. Stop and rest if needed but walking is encouraged after open heart surgery.
Yes you can. Hospital stay is usually 5 days or so. If vein harvested from leg slight swelling may be present for a few weeks. But steps can be negotiated well.
Depending on your recovery if physical therapist in the hospital has deemed it safe you can walk on stairs.
