Covid question?

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and had covid in November an was vaccinated already. Will I be ok or could I get covid again?

1 Answer

Yes, you can get Covid again, but it is very rare. Recall that the vaccines are > 90%-95 % effective. That means 5%-10% of vaccines can be infected. Most of these breakthrough infections have no or very mild symptoms and almost never are sick enough to need medical care. Pregnancy is a special case in that immunity in pregnancy is naturally not as strong. Follow the older guidelines just to be safer while pregnant, e.g., mask and avoiding others who have not been vaccinated.
