Many options are safe and available. If you don’t have a history of pancreatitis or retinal rye disease ask your physician to start you on Ozempic 1 injection weekly and titrate the dose up to 1 mg weekly over 3 months, it is effective and safe. If any nausea or abdominal pain stop ozempic and go to the ER to rule out pancreatitis. The other option is Glipizide 10 mg ER 1 tablet with lunch
Tell YOUR doctor.
If sugar is in the 300’s you might need the addition of insulin but that has to be decided by a doctor who knows you better, preferably an Endocrinologist. Hope this helps.

If your sugar is in the 300s you are insulin deficient. I know little about your history. So little information But let’s say your glucose is averaging 300.You’re following a strict diet. No medication except insulin will help you the amount you need to decrease the sugar. (150points)
Call your doctor immediately. You will either need some of the amaryl or insulin to bring you down. If you stay that high you can get dehydrated. TJ.
