Diabetic circumcision?

I'm booked to get circumcised in a few days. I have just got My A1C back blood result back and it’s 10.7%. Am I still ok to go ahead with the procedure? Is there a risk?

Age is higher to get circumcision. Unless your urologist recommended circumcision because of medical indications especially with recurrent infections of prepuce in diabetics. There is higher risk of infections in diabetics with surgery
Increased risk of infection. If your fingerstick is high that day, they will give you insulin.
The risk is higher with elevated blood sugar but still pretty small.
Make sure you discuss with your surgeon and your anesthesiologist! Typically, an A1c <7 or 8 is a better option prior to an elective operation. An A1c that high puts you at potential risk for wound complications or impaired healing.
