“Do I need antibiotics after a deep cleaning?”
I am a 28 year old male. I want to know if I need antibiotics after a deep cleaning?

Not usually, only if the dentist/periodontist makes that assessment based on the nature of bone loss and presence of pus coming out between your gums or any other factor they deem it necessary
Typically you do not need an antibiotic after a deep cleaning. However there may be extenuating circumstances that would necessitate that recommendation
Usually antibiotics are not needed with deep cleaning, but if the doctor thinks you have aggressive types of bacteria that can live in the gum tissue then antibiotics are often recommended. People with significant gum disease who are less than 35 years old are often prescribed antibiotics to take at the same time as the deep cleaning.
