Do blood transfusion help when in a coma?

Is it important for someone in a coma to have 3 blood transfusions a week? Does the blood really help?

Yes, blood transfusion save life. If anyone needs multiple blood transfusion, it's because their immune system could be hemolysin his owns Red Blood Cells. The red blood cells give and carries oxygen and nutrient to the whole body. if you don't have in off RBC's, organ failure starts to ensue and organ damage would be the final process. Thank you.
Usually not. Comas occur for a lot of reasons. Most do not require transfusions, and even if done, to not "fix" the reason for the coma.
The blood improves the body’s ability to get oxygen to the brain and other vital organs.
