“Do they put you to sleep for dental implants?”
I am a 49 year old male. I want to know if they put you to sleep for dental implants?

Unless you are having many implants with extractions and bone trimming, single or double implants could be done easily under local anesthetic.
Dental implants usually do not hurt... however, if you are nervous, you can request to be put under....
General anesthesia is not necessary unless requested by the patient during implant surgery. If the patient is highly anxious, it would be recommended to perform light general anesthesia.
That's a great question for the surgeon doing the procedure. It's a very common practice, but every surgeon does it differently.
Not in most cases. May suggest if you do multiple implants at a time.
