Do you get general anesthesia for colon polyp removal?

I have colon polyps and want to get rid of them. Do you get general anesthesia for colon polyp removal?

General anesthesia is rarely indicated. Most people who get a colonoscopy get monitored anesthesia care, which means that you will have intravenous medication’s, which makes you sleepy, but not feeling any discomfort

Usually MAC sedation. Similar to twilight sedation
