No treatment is always an option for every malady, but not if they expect a good outcome. The blood supply has been cut off to a part of the heart muscle in a heart attack. It will die unless something is done to return blood to that muscle. Dead heart muscle is weaken and ruptures or triggers fatal heart rhythms. Either this happens soon after the event or after it has scarred.
