I am a 16 year old male. I wonder if an MRI shows nerve damage in back?

MRI CAN SHOW IMPINGEMENT OR PRESSURE ON NERVES, BUT IT TAKES CORRELATION WITH CLINICAL SYMPTOMS/SIGNS AND SOMETIMES EMG/NCV TESTING TO SHOW ACTUAL CLINICAL DAMAGE/DYSFUNCTION
Most of the time it does.
Did your doctor order one? If so, ask him or her what diagnosis they are thinking of. If not, they may not think you have anything that would show on an MRI.
