I am an 18 year old male. I want to know if anesthesia has side effects?

For a healthy 18 year old it is safe to say that a safe anesthetic can be expected with minimal side effects. The odds of any long lasting effects from anesthesia are exceedingly rare.
It may. Also depends on the type pf anesthesia, as well as the type of surgery. Some of the side effects are sleepiness, nausea/vomiting, and sore throat (for general anesthesia with a breathing tube, or intubation).
