Yes it can
It is possible for local anesthetic to raise your blood pressure. The majority of local anesthetics contain epinephrine which could raise your blood pressure. Careful anesthetic technique reduces the possibility, but it may happen. There are also local anesthetics that do not contain epinephrine (example, Citanest), but they have a very short working time for the dentist with respect to pulpal anesthesia. Anxiety of the injection may also raise your blood pressure.
yes
It could.
Local anesthesia with epinephrine may cause blood pressure increase.
Some anesthetics have epinephrine in them. This is the fight or flight chemical your body produces. It may temporarily increase your blood pressure and pulse rate. But just for a short period. No worries, but can lead to anxiety for a few minutes!
If accidentally injected into the blood vessel, it can cause hearing palpitation and raise heart rate, but not blood pressure.
