Does diabetes causes you to have irregular sleep?

I am a 15 year old female. I was diagnosed with diabetes and have been having sleep issues long before this. Does insulin affect sleep?

Insulin, which is a normal hormone, does not affect sleep, unless one takes too little (frequent urination from high sugar levels) or too much (hypoglycemia) Best regards.
Uncontrolled diabetes can affect sleep with poor quality but the ADA suggests all diabetics especially overweight insulin-dependent diabetics be screened for sleep apnea. Improved sleep especially the treatment of sleep apnea will improve diabetic control.
