Does exercise help nerve regeneration?

I am an 18 year old male. I want to know if exercise helps nerve regeneration? I have a hand injury after a car accident.

Yes it is wonderful for it
No. Nerves heal at their own rate. Exercises keep the tissues from getting stiff in the meantime
Mainly PT/OT helps with this. Consult Functional Medicine for a internal wound healing/repair regimen.
Absolutely, rehabilitation is essential to helping a patient maximize their best outcome whether it's done in conjunction with surgery or not.
Yes, indeed! Any nerve stimulus helps send the signals needed for regeneration.

The answer is that exercising the muscles with hopefully prevent the muscles from atrophying while the nerve is regenerating. Exercise may not help the nerve regenerate, but it will keep the muscles strong once the nerve regenerates. So the simple answer is, exercise is beneficial. Good luck.
Not specifically, but it can prevent muscle atrophy from disuse and it increases blood flow to the region. Both of these are positive. Your age is also a positive for faster regeneration, but
be patient; nerves regenerate at best 1 mm/day.

Best of luck to you,

Yes. Exercise can help nerve injuries. There is a saying, “if you don’t use it, you lose it.” This is very true for the body. Try to use the part of the body with the injured nerve in the form of exercises. Even visualize yourself moving that part of the body if you can’t move it because of the nerve injury.
The correct exercise can. I would recommend you consult a local Physical Therapist for your case.
