“Does getting braces tightened hurt more than getting them on?”
I am a 23 year old female. I want to know if getting braces tightened hurts more than getting them on?

For most patients the first few days after getting braces are the most uncomfortable. After each subsequent appointment there may be some discomfort but usually less than the first time.

No. The first day is almost always the worst because you are first starting to activate your body's physiology. After that, it's easier.
The first few steps like separators and sizing for bands is a little uncomfortable. But just the first week and once the braces are on usually it gets better and after tightening maybe a day or 2 you feel sore, but it's okay after that.
