“Does going to a chiropractor feel good?”
I am a 19 year old female. I want to know if going to a chiropractor feels good?

Most of my patients would tell you, "yes!" They like having proper motion in the joints of their bodies, have full function with no deficits. A very few patients may tell you they don't like a particular adjustment. That's why we take the time to learn many different techniques of adjusting, so that you are comfortable coming to us, and can leave the office feeling good. Have your chiropractor examine you and explain what care is appropriate for your condition. Best of Health.
Most young people your age like the way Chiropractic treatment feels and feel very quick improvements in how they feel. This is due to the fact that your body is in it’s prime physically and there generally is a lack of arthritis in the Spine at a younger age. Some young people do not like the “popping” sound that comes with the typical manual Chiropractic Adjustment. If you are one of those person’s, inquire with the Chiropractor’s Clinic to see if their Chiropractor also uses Instrument Chiropractic Adjustment’s. If so, there will be no “popping” sound and these treatments are very gentle. Although, a lot of young people really like the manual “popping” treatments. Most Chiropractors will offer you this option if you would prefer the Instrument Adjustments instead.
When you go to a chiropractor you are going to start feeling your body working at ease. You are going to start sleeping better, being more productive and having a better quality of live.
Most times, yes. If you wait too long and are in pain, it may be a little sore. Think of working out when you are sore. The workout still feels good.
Going to chiropractor can feel good. Remember, chiropractic is the science and art of correcting misalignments of the spine in order to relieve nerve pressure and create better communication between the brain and the body. Correcting misalignments of the spine relieves tension on the muscles which in turn allows the body to feel more relaxed. This is just one benefit of chiropractic care.
Feeling properly aligned is what feels good. Sometimes chiropractic care is uncomfortable because the chiropractor is working on irritated tissues. The amount of pressure that is used is appropriate to the integrity of the tissue. For example, if tissue is torn or swollen then manipulation is delivered in a way that is protective of the injury while still achieving alignment of the involved joints. If the injured or subluxation area has more integrity, then more pressure and range of motion (deformation) can be used during the treatment. Sometimes this feels good or even great during the entire application and sometimes it is uncomfortable and doesn’t feel good until immediately afterwards or anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of days later.
I always feel good after my chiropractic adjustment and my patients tell me they feel a lot better. Sometimes the places the chiropractor has to work are sore or tender, that is because there is congestion in those areas leading to pain and stiffness. But once the therapy is over, without that congestion you will feel better. You can always speak up and let your chiropractor know if anything is too harsh or uncomfortable.

To me, even before I became a Chiropractor, I always look forward to my chiropractic visits. The adjustments are intended to help the body move closer to positive communication of the nervous system, thus greater function of your body.
Without a doubt, it feels great to get adjusted. More specifically, there is a release of endorphins that follow an adjustment which causes the great feeling of being adjusted.
Hello and thank you for your question.
Chiropractic, like other physical medicines or activities is a process. Initially, you may experience muscle soreness, the same as if you began a new exercise program. Most patients report feeling better and less stressed. The chiropractic profession is quite popular and our patients enjoy the outcomes.
