My friend had a stroke. After that, he has nerve pain in his arm. Does post-stroke nerve pain go away?

If the nerve pain is a result of your friend's stroke, then there may only be a limited improvement over time. However, there are medications available that may help for this. His physician should be able to help find something that may help with the pain.
Post stroke nerve pain varies greatly from person to person. Yes it can ease over time and can resolve. But the time line varies. Physical therapy helps. Massage therapy helps. Some anti seizure medication can help. Requires a multi modal approach and time.
