Drug adverse effects?

I have Ecoli UTI and have been prescribed Ciprofloxacin. Hydrochloride. I have stable cirrhosis which was secondary to the treatment of breast cancer and other drug side effects. Is this a safe drug noting my history?

I do not think this is the best choice for you considering your history. I would recommend bringing this up to your pharmacist and asking for a different medication as Ciprofloxacin can cause liver symptoms to get worse.
Unfortunately, most antibiotics are not great to take with liver issues, however, out of the options to treat a UTI, Cipro is probably least toxic on your liver. When taking antibiotics, probiotics can help with any GI side effects such as diarrhea, and cramping. Make sure to drink lots of water while taking this medication as well.
