Drug test?

I failed a hair follicle drug test for meth. I do not use the drug. How is this possible?

The results of a hair follicle drug test can be negative, positive, or inconclusive. A negative result means. That the laboratory did not detect the presence of any drug metabolites in the sample, or after having a positive ELISA screening, the laboratory was unable to confirm the results with GC-MS. A positive hair sample that produces a positive result for ELISA will undergo to a second test, GC-MS. A positive result is a confirmatory testing meaning that the laboratory confirmed the presence of specific drug metabolites in the person’s sample. An inconclusive hair sample is contaminated, or something went wrong with the sample. The laboratory will report it as inconclusive. The metabolites can be in the body for approximately 3-4 months after it have been consumed. Thank you.
A positive follicle test will go back 3 months from the date of collection. Positive amphetamines may include methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy), and MDEA (eve). Other false positives may come from using substances such as decongestants pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine; amphetamine is 1,3 dimethylamylamine (DMAA), which is an ingredient in some dietary and weight-loss supplements; bupropion, which is used as an antidepressant and smoking cessation aid, also is structurally similar to amphetamine. You should be able to reference your active medications for any cross-reactivity.
Could be cross-reactivity with another substance, a false positive, or a mislabeled specimen. Ask to have the test repeated. You could also request a more specific test using another type of sample. Usually, testing of hair means prior to use in the past. Discuss with your health care provider and perhaps consider a lawyer.
