Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear wax

Ear Wax Removal

Hi, I wanted to ask a question about ear wax removal. I am very prone to getting ear wax buildup, ear wax blockages, and impacted ear wax. Currently, I have hardened and impacted ear wax buildup, especially in my right ear. I had an aural scraping done about an hour or two ago in both ears, but I still have a big clump of hard, impacted ear wax in my right ear. Would it be safe for me to start using over the counter ear drops to remove the remaining ear wax or should I wait a few days before starting the ear drops?

You can certainly use debrox drops if your want to help soften any wax that's left. Also letting hot water irrigate through the ear, like whole you take a shower, will help soften any wax that's in there.
