Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT)

Embarrassment is keeping me from seeing a doctor?

I believe I have a wart in my nose but I am very embarrassed and nervous, so much so, it is keeping me ignoring it. What are the steps I should take going forward? I am also afraid of catching covid at the doctor's office.

If it is a true wart, you may want to get a Gardasil vaccine which could make the wart disappear. You get a prescription for that from your doctor and just go to a pharmacy.
It is important you see an ear nose and throat doctor as soon as possible. What you think is a wart may be something more serious. Doctors and staff are trained in infection prevention and it’s unlikely you would contract covid at a doctors office.

You should see an otolaryngologist right away. This should be biopsied and removed

Hello,

Physician's offices have adapted to COVID and take appropriate precautions. I would suggest to not worry to go in to seek care.

You should go in for an eval as it should be removed. You will not get Covid at the doctor's office.
If you have something like a wart in your nose, you need to see an ENT in person to have it looked at and possibly removed. When you go to your local ENT, just follow all the masking and social distancing protocol and you should be fine regarding COVID 19.
Most ENT physicians have rules and precautions in place when seeing patients in their offices. Best if you have at least one vaccination prior to being seen. Keep using mask and washing hands. Ask if doctor and staff have had vaccinations
