“Epididymitis condition?”
I went to the ER and my left testicle was swollen. They took a urine sample and said I had epididymitis. I have had only one partner for the past 90 days, they later told me it was sexually transmitted gonorrhea, I received a shot and 4 blue pills while at the hospital, my girlfriend went in and they said that she had chlamydia and gave her a shot, the 4 pills and a prescription for antibiotics. I'm looking online and anywhere it says that if diagnosed with epididymitis, that you are supposed to get some kind of antibiotics, is this correct and/or what should I do?

Appropriate treatment for this patient per CDC guidelines with acute epididymitis from either GC or CT would be ceftriaxone IM X1 either 250mg or 500mg and doxycycline 100mg for 10 days.
