“Female urology?”
I get frequent UTIs and I am not finding the right treatment from my OBGYN. Is there such a thing as a female urologist??

Most general urologists can see and treat recurring UTIs. There are some that sub specialize in female urology -- typically this requires two additional years of fellowship training after residency in female and pelvic floor reconstruction.
There are both urogynecologists and urologists. Most urologists would be very proficient at managing your recurrent UTI. Options include naturals like cranberry or D-mannose, estrogen creams, prophylactic antibiotic, anti-septic type meds etc. You should be worked up and make sure it's not something mechanical (stone or not emptying).

Yes, Urologists treat men and women. There are fellowship trained Urologists that specialize specifically on female urology. Contact your local urology group to see who would be the best fit for you.
